The UNC TLT Open Source Interest Group was added for the 2005-2006 year to serve as a structure for communication among those interested in the application of open source software to effective teaching and learning. As this group gets underway, it will serve the UNC TLT community by providing a clearinghouse of information about opportunities and developments in open source software pertaining to teaching and learning with technology, feasibility of using selected open source software for TLT, and ideas to facilitate collaboration among those interested in open source solutions.
