EDTECH is NC State's showcase for innovation for research and technology-assisted instruction! It's open to all faculty, staff, and students at NC State, our colleagues at area universities, community colleges, state and local government employees, public educators, and the general public. EDTECH is informal and festive and provides opportunities for educators, researchers, and staff to showcase achievements and share ideas about how instructional technologies can enhance the learning experience of all our students. Most importantly, EDTECH allows everyone to gather as a community and share ideas, experiences, and learn together.

12  EDUCAUSE 2003
The theme of the conference is "Balancing Opportunities, Expectations, and Resources." It’s clear to all of us working with technology in higher education that the struggle to find balance will continue indefinitely. To be sure, new opportunities and challenges will come, along with new demands from our constituents for bigger, better, faster information systems and services. Somewhere, somehow, in the middle of the complexity, we need to find the right combination of resources, effort, and approach to satisfy the demand in the most appropriate manner for our institutions. 17  Improving Student Learning Through Institutional Change
The Collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching and Learning's 14th Annual Summer Institute - For 13 years, The Collaboration's Summer Institutes have helped dozens of colleges and universities develop new courses, curricula, assessment efforts, and other programs to improve college teaching and learning. An intensive, residential program for campus teams, the institutes provide a carefully designed system of interactive plenary sessions, individualized consulting, and team meeting time, enabling each group to complete a realistic and persuasive project plan by week’s end. The institutes also build participants’ knowledge, confidence, and collaborative leadership skills to increase the success of their projects and other campus efforts.
