TLT Conference Update, 5/21
I understand that not everyone has received the information sent out last week, and that you would like directions to the conference center (UNCW Executive Development Center). Maps can be found on our web site at http://unctlt.org/conference2001/uncwil.cfm. The address is 1242 Military Cutoff, Wilmington. Driving directions provided by the conference center are:
From north of Wilmington:
- I-40 E to Wilmington, NC
- I-40 ends, becoming NC 132 S
- Look for overhead sign to US 17 N and US 74 E, Jacksonville and Wrightsville Beach.
- Turn left and continue straight on 74 E toward Wrightsville Beach.
- Continue for approximately two miles.
- Turn left on Military Cutoff Road
- Continue 0.3 miles past Landfall Shopping Center
- The UNCW Executive Development Center is located on the right in a one-story brick building with the Northeast Regional Library.
From south and east of Wilmington:
- I-74 E / I-76 N to Wilmington.
- Continue straight on I-76 N.
- Continue straight when I-76 turns right towards Wrightsville Beach.
- Cross I-74 and continue 0.3 miles past Landfall Shopping Center on the right.
- The UNCW Executive Development Center is located on the right in a one-story brick building with the Northeast Regional Library.
You may find answers to your other questions about the conference in the conference program, which I have attached as a PDF file (a printed version will be available at the conference).
In particular, if you have signed up for Track 1 (Philosophy of Teaching and Learning with Technology) or Track 3 (Emerging Tools and Technologies for Teaching and Learning), look for the breakout session descriptions in this document -- I have not had a chance to post these on the web site.
You may also want to take a look at the options for Explore Wilmington, so that you pack appropriate clothing.
