TLT Conference Update, 5/17
We'll all be in Wilmington in just a few more days! Here is some last-minute news:
On Wednesday, we'll be holding an informal orientation for family members and friends who are accompanying you to Wilmington. A representative from the visitors bureau will be on hand to welcome everyone, to answer questions about the area, and to suggest activities. This is a great way for these folks to meet others with similar interests. Pre-registration is not necessary for this orientation, which is scheduled for 1 PM in the Oleander Room at the Residence Inn (1200 Culbreth Drive, near the conference center). Children are welcome to attend.
Will anyone need to reach you by phone during the conference? Please pass on these phone numbers:
- Conference center reception desk (Wednesday and Thursday): 910-962-3193.
- Cameron building courtesy phone (Friday): 910-962-7034. We will have an assistant posted at these phones to relay messages to conference participants.
Earlier this week, two mailings were sent to the address you provided in your personal profile. We've asked your conference hotel to forward information on its location, nearby amenities, directions to the UNCW campus, and directions to the UNCW Executive Development Center on Military Cutoff Road. In addition, we've forwarded a map explaining how to find the conference center and several brochures from the local visitors bureau.
Some of you have asked about campus parking passes and maps. When you check in at the conference center, you'll be able to pick up a parking pass along with your participant packet. A campus map will be included in your packet.
Finally, I'll be leaving for Wilmington on Tuesday. If you need me Tuesday evening, please contact the Residence Inn, 910-256-0098.
