TLT Conference Update, 4/18
Several questions have come up regarding hotel accommodations for the conference. Here are some common questions and answers on this topic:
Q: How do I make hotel reservations?
A: The portion of the conference web site relating to hotel selection, track selection, and other important personal information will be available soon. You'll be able to specify which hotels you prefer; we will make the final selection and notify you of the hotel to which you are assigned. Details about the new web pages will be sent later this week.
Q: How soon should I select my hotel?
A: At the request of our hotels, the original deadline for hotel selection was to have been April 21. Because of the delays in making the selection web pages available to you, we are working with the hotels to extend this deadline. We'll let you know more as soon as we know it ourselves!
Q: Which hotels are available?
A: Please see unctlt.org/conference2001/hotel_info.cfm for descriptions of each option.
Q: Who is paying for the hotel rooms?
A: The TLT Collaborative will pay for your accommodations on Wednesday and Thursday nights. You will be responsible for incidentals such as phone calls and laundry service.
Q: My campus is quite far from Wilmington, and I'll be traveling on Tuesday. Who will pay for my hotel on Tuesday night?
A: At this time, we do not plan to cover travel costs to and from Wilmington. However, we are investigating the possibility of funding an extra hotel night for those participants who must travel from the most distant campuses. We will let you know more later on if this direction continues to show promise.
Q: I'm planning to stay in Wilmington for the weekend. Are there special conference participant rates?
A: All of the conference hotels are offering group rates for the weekend. Please see the web site referenced above for details.
