The UNC TLT Collaborative 2001 Conference was held
at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
on May 2325, 2001.


Use of wireless,handheld computers in lecture-based teaching

This talk will summarize our use of Jornada and Visor handheld computers in 3 courses during the 2000-01 academic year.Video clips of Jornada usage during class will be shown from our website.Student evaluations of the handhelds will be presented and discussed.

Betty Black and her co-investigators Marianne Niedzlek-Feaver and Hal Meeks were supported by funds awarded last year for this project under the name Pilot studies on the potential for wireless computing in lecture-based undergraduate teaching.
