Academic Integrity in a Tecnological World

Abstract (up to 200 words):
The three panelists is will examine the challenges faced by educators in understanding academic integrity issues and in articulating standards and strategies for maintining academic integrity in an increasingly technological environment. We will ask what is academic integrity, what must institutions do to create a culture that fosters it, and what can teachers do to prevent violations? Professor Chris Anson chaired a committee of the Council of Writing Propgram Administrators that just released its academic integrity statement; Profesor Ann Newman is researching academic integrity at the instituional level; Professor Meg Morgan works daily with writing faculty challenged by issues of academic integrity.
