Foundations of Cooperative Learning is a course that provides a solid basis for the implementation of cooperative learning in the classroom. The concept, as developed by David and Roger Johnson, is currently being utilized in colleges throughout the world. Participants will learn (1) to design lessons using the three kinds of cooperative learning groups (2) to implement the five elements needed to make groups effective and (3) to understand the research rationale for using cooperative learning in college.
