AAHE's 2002 Assessment Conference
AAHE's 2002 Assessment Conference will focus on the collective efforts that institutions are using or developing to more deeply understand how well students are learning what the institutions assert they are teaching or inculcating. The conference will explore this year's theme -- Assessment: A Shared Commitment -- through five theme tracks, the last of which follows up on topics raised in the Research Forum at last year's conference. 1.Assessing Achievement of the Ineffable 2.Assessing Learning and Development in General Education and the Major 3.Assessing Learning and Development in the Cocurriculum 4.Interpreting Assessment Results and Implementing Changes to Improve Pedagogy, Planning, Budgeting, and Institutional Decision Making 5.Demonstrating Student Learning -or- Communicating the Validity and Reliability of Alternative Methods of Assessment
