Teaching Large Lecture Classes |
|
The Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has compiled interviews with faculty and TAs concerning what they know and like about teaching undergraduates at UNC. This compilation forms what the Center refers to as the "teacher's desk reference." It is a way for instructors to share their experiences and expertise with their professional colleagues. Professor of History David Griffiths was the subject of an interview in the October 1989 issue of "For Your Consideration..." (FYC). Professor Griffiths shares tips on course planning and organization, precept sections, lecture techniques, exams and grading--all geared towards the large lecture context. |
