UMUC-Verizon Virtual Resource Site for Teaching with Technology
This site is developed by the University of Maryland University College as a resource for faculty seeking help and direction in using Web-based technologies to accomplish key learning strategies. This project aims at providing a full examination of the teaching and learning issues in technology-enabled instruction. This website consists of two modules, each exploring key issues in developing and teaching online courses using technology. By providing information about use and selection of various web-based media, Module 1 assists faculty in creating and using various media in ways appropriate for their students' learning experience. Module 2 focuses on delivery, in that it helps faculty use some of the materials presented in Module 1 to foster interaction among students and builds on Module 1 to develop broad ways of understanding the emerging pedagogy of online education.
