The North Carolina Research and Education Network

The North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN) is a private telecommunications network owned and operated by the Information Technologies Division of MCNC, to interconnect universities, research institutions, and medical and graduate centers in North Carolina, permitting timely participation in research and education projects. The NCREN Network Operations Center is located at MCNC in Research Triangle Park.
