Mike O'Kane is a consultant in Educational Technology and teaches Computer Programming at AB Technical Community College in Asheville, North Carolina. His expertise includes Web/database design/programming, graphical design, technical writing and communications, faculty training in web-based learning and online course design, instruction in Web/database programming, and organizational design. During the past five years, Mike has served as Executive Director of the Uiversity of North Carolina Teaching and Learning with Technology Collaborative, and managed Instructional Technology services and operations in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University. Prior to that, Mike worked with IBM's Network Systems Division for two years developing short courses in client/server programming interfaces, and taught Computer Science for three years at Broome Community College in upstate New York. He holds an M.S. in Advanced Technology, specializing in System Science from Binghamton University, and a B.A. in Fine Arts from Sheffield Polytechnical Institute in Sheffield, England. |
