Rodney E. Harrigan is the associate vice chancellor for academic affairs/chief information officer at N. C. A&T. He is returning to A&T after serving as director of the information technology group for the Center for Creative Leadership and vice president of training and development for Discovery Learning. From 1991 to 1998, he served in several positions at A&T including assistant to the dean of the College of Engineering, associate chairman of the computer science department, associate dean of the College of Engineering, director of undergraduate computer science programs and professor of computer science. Prior to 1991, Mr. Harrigan was employed with IBM for 25 years in a variety of management positions across the country. He was also an adjunct professor at several colleges and universities including Bennett College, Federal City College, Howard University, Post College and Winston-Salem State University. Rodney Harrigan's educational background includes a B.S. degree in mathematics from Paine College and a M.S. in computer science from Howard University. Rodney and his wife Elaine have two married daughters. Pamela wedded Gregory Young and Sherrice wedded Bryan Alston in a double ceremony in 1998. |
